LASMIRA is responsible for the regulation of utility infrastructure within the geographical boundary of Lagos state.
The Agency was set up by the Lagos state government law NO 13 of July and published in the official gazette NO 23 volume 37 of 27th August, 2004 by the then Governor Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Its relevant targets are oil and gas, fibre-optics, telecom masts and towers, water cables, electricity (over and underground) companies.
LASMIRA is aimed at ensuring standard and effectiveness in infrastructural development and maintenance in the state taking into cognisance the interest of the public health and safety.
It identifies challenges emanating from these companies and proffer proactive solutions required to maintain public infrastructure in the state.
LASMIRA is more than just regulations, rather the safety and health of the citizenry of Lagos is our responsibility.
